2015 George A. Bray Thesis and Dissertation Awards Presentation
Honoring two students for their complete master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation (respectively), that was successfully defended in the current year, based on: significance, relevance/potential impact in the field of obesity, scientific methodology, writing quality, overall approach and scope and innovation.
For the first time, the TOS Opening Session will feature a grant competition offered by The Obesity Society (TOS) as a member service to foster and stimulate new research ideas related to obesity. TOS is accepting applications through May 30, 2015 and will invite five finalists selected from early career member applicants to pitch their research ideas on stage at the TOS Opening Session of ObesityWeek 2015.
A panel of judges, as well as the audience, will select the winner. Each of the five finalists will receive complimentary registration to ObesityWeek 2015 and a $1500 travel grant. They will have five minutes to present their proposal and the winner will receive a $40,000 research grant. Find out additional details about the grant and application process here.
