All interested individuals are invited to the inaugural organizational meeting to discuss the Bio-Behavioral Research Section initiatives in The Obesity Society. The goal of this section is to support and encourage research on the complex interactions between biological, behavioral, and environmental factors that influence obesity, and to advocate for an approach to research, treatment, and prevention that considers and integrates both behavioral and biological aspects of obesity and obesity-related disease in The Obesity Society. Scientists with interests in psychology, behavior, environment, physiology, genetics, biology and other related areas are welcome to attend. A keynote speaker, Dr. Michael R. Lowe will deliver a lecture titled “Parsing the Power of Food.” We also will be discussing suggestions for new bio-behavioral science initiatives for 2015 and 2016.
Join us and let your voice be heard about the needs and direction of this new section!
