Session Overview and Target Audience

This panel session will include a thorough analysis of the existing and novel surgical armamentarium to treat obesity and its comorbidities with a novel format that is putting the speaker in the patient’s position. The target audience includes surgeons, internal medicine doctors, endocrinologists, psychologists, nurses and dietitians with interest in the management of patients with obesity and metabolic disorders associated to overweight.

Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Differentiate the advantages and disadvantages of existing procedures.
  • Analyze novel procedures.
  • Detect proposals from the patient point of view.
