Live Surgery Session Overview and Target Audience
This live surgery session is dedicated to live surgical procedures from operators around the world. There will be three separate sessions, during which a different panel will be called, to discuss and interact with the audience. This session will focus on various state of the art, special and difficult procedures. This live surgery session is designed for residents in general surgery, fellows in minimally invasive, GI or bariatric surgery, general surgeons, GI surgeons, bariatric surgeons, surgical assistants and operating room nurses.
Live Surgery Session Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize and summarize common complications, such as weight regain, after bariatric common procedures.
- Evaluate candidates for revisions and conversions of gastric adjustable banding and sleeve gastrectomy, to other procedures.
- Detect adverse events in bariatric surgery by identifying proper technical steps of each procedure.
